Utilities:

NoAds - Popup Killer Application, very easy interface.
Spamkiller:  Not free, but it’s an easy interface, and works great.  I am told it does NOT work with Windows 95 or earlier.
Mobipocket - Ebook reader for pc and many models of handhelds. Has a for-purchase module that will dump from excel & ms word to .prc format.
Tapecalc - a great calculator program I’ve kept thru the years.  Source unknown. Unzip all files into same folder.
File Extensions - a list of file types & the apps they go to - in excel spreadsheet format. (Excel .xls file zipped for uploading)
Spybot - great spyware removal freeware app.
Adaware - Another must. Use both this & spybot to keep your pc clean.

Support:

Tech Guy Forums - my new favorite place for tech support!

Google Groups - Access usenet groups from the web.  Your ISP subscribes to a service to provide newsgroups; I’ve often found I can get to groups here that aren’t available through my ISP. Not to mention how cool it is to be able to get to all the groups from any machine..... :)

Hardware Reviews & Drivers:

Drivers.com - searchable by FCC number.
Motherboard Review Forum:  Get help, real people reviews, etc.
PC World Magazine - they publish much of their content and reviews online.

Fun Stuff:

CD &Audio Programs:

Winmx - File sharing program. Easy to use.
Mp3towav - Program to convert MP3 back to wav format - for creating audio cd’s. 
CDEX - a program that rips a song off a cd and converts it to MP3 format.

Supplies & Parts:

Axiontech - they claim they charge ACTUAL shipping, not inflated. Cyberguys - great source for “widgets” NewEgg - you can read customer ratings & comments before buying.
